French Exit: A hasty exit made without saying farewells to anybody.
“A somewhat innocuous act of not wanting to overextend pleasantries, seemed like an apt topic for a show that was made under a pressured timeline, but more questions started to arise regarding existence in general. What would be the exit strategy, given a finite amount of time to still exist? Does it have its own etiquette? Has extinction in general become a ‘now you see it, now you don’t’ scenario of fantastical realism? Do we have to say goodbye when we leave the party?”

Morgan SLADE
Morgan Slade is a Los Angeles born multi-media artist and photographer currently living in Richmond, Virginia. He received a BA in Fine Art from the University of California at Santa Cruz in 1991. His paintings, mixed-media, photography and film works have been exhibited in Los Angeles, San Fransisco, Virginia and Sweden.
