Mary Holland
My artwork explores a variety of universal themes: dreams, nature, memory, travel, and magic. Combining diverse imagery, I feel the medium of collage useful in creating layered and expected compositions. It is one of the most playful and accessible art forms, easy to engage with as it combines visual elements from many mediums.
Most of my collage pieces are made from cut and torn paper glued to wooden panels. Some are finished with a protective layer of Cold Wax Medium.
