Sharon Shapiro

Sharon Shapiro was born in Bluefield, WV in 1968. She earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from the Atlanta College of Art in 1993, and a Master of Fine Arts degree from Maine College of Art in 2019. Shapiro has exhibited steadily since the mid 1990s and has had recent solo and two-person shows at the Museum of Contemporary Art Arlington (Arlington, VA), SPRING/BREAK Art Show (New York, NY), and the Gadsden Museum of Art (Gadsden, AL). She has been a recipient of both the Graduate and Professional Artist’s Fellowship from the Virginia Museum of Fine Arts. Shapiro lives and works in Charlottesville, VA.
